He is principally engaged in resources investigation and evaluation, resource management, policy research etc. He presided over a number of shale gas resources, oil and gas resources strategy and planning in recent years. Lead the demonstration and declaration of shale gas as a new minerals, which approved by the State Council. Also participated in many projects like Shale Gas Resource Potential Survey and Assessment of China, Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou and Hubei Shale Gas Resource Strategy Survey Pilot Test Area, National Oil And Gas Resource Evaluation, Comprehensive Study of Global Oil And Gas Geology And Regional Preferred Projects.
